Lyman Lake is a nice lake to visit. You'll stumble on a striking lake called Apalachee Mill Pond near Lyman Lake, and Quality Inn Greer is a good place to get some rest. Here at Lyman Lake you'll in all probability meet some people from Spartanburg. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Village Golf Club; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Greer/Gsp Arpt/Greenville Area is a splendid location to spend a night or two.

Summertime at Lyman Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. you're here, you could also visit pretty Moon Pond. Get drenched paddling on Enoree River, and why not a little side spree to Beaverdam Creek.

The Flowermill RV Park
| we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.
...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |

Green River

This section is fun but not very difficult. The river is full of tubers in the summer. Trout fishing is good here so bring a rod, just be sure you know the regulations as they change on different sections and the game wardens are notorious ticket writers. The put in is at ''Fish Top'' access and the take out is at the ''Big Rock'' access parking lot both on Green River Cove Rd. Also from the Big Rock access to the public landing on Lake Adger is a good trip, but a little slower.... |
