Lowndes Lake gets lots of water; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and November on the other hand is the driest. Horsegall Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth going to, and dry warm beds await you at Carolina Lodge Vi. Through the months of summer at Lowndes Lake temperatures are frequently in the 90's; the nighttime is fairly colder of course, frequently in the 60's. Daytime highs       through the wintertime are in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lowndes Lake plunge into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Point South KOA is always a great experience.
