Long Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the summer months highs here       at Long Pond get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Long Pond through the wintertime frequently sink into the 30's. There are plenty of folks from Newberry here at Long Pond; Siesta Cove Marina-campground is a wonderful campground here. Southern Inn is a wonderful site to get some rest, and if you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Indian                  Trail Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Leesville Lodge is a great choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Cedar Pond Campground is a pleasant place to camp.
