Lawton Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Get soaked paddling on Matthews Creek, and a short journey to Raven Cliff Falls is always worthwhile. Glide down the rapids of South Saluda River in a kayak. Lakes? Sure, Methodist Pond is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Galloway Branch is right next door to Lawton Lake and is always a bliss to stop by, and A Nice Little Motel is a fine spot to get some rest.

Lawton Lake mostly gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month of the year is January. Since you're here at Lawton Lake why not go to Dowthit Cove, and going for a hike on the Mullinax Trail is always a pleasant adventure.

Laurel Mountain Inn is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Lawton Lake is peerless!.
This lake is so wonderful. Lawton Lake is not far at all from Brevard, and camping is available
at Palmetto Cove. The warmest time of the year at Lawton Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Lawton Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
