A visit to Lawton Lake is always a good idea. Near Lawton Lake you find Dowthit Cove which is a delightful spot to stop by; during your spree here you'll meet some folks from Brevard for sure. Lawton Lake generally gets a good deal of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. You'll stumble on a stunning lake called Lake Arrowhead near Lawton Lake, and some of the water nearby flows, like Galloway Branch.

| | This lake is so wonderful. The Mullinax Trail offers hiking at its best, and Raven Cliff Falls is a perfect local attraction. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff next to Lawton Lake. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not go to Eagles Nest Lake near Lawton Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Matthews Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Brevard, and you can stay the night at Solitude Pointe.

Rock Mountain is clearly visible from Lawton Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Black Mountain Trail. Palmetto Cove is a perfect campground nearby; Lawton Lake is right by the Art Loeb Trail. If you need a place to stay

The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lawton Lake with nighttime lows
in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lawton Lake. What a place this is for outdoors folks. If you come at the right time of year, South Saluda River offers some pleasant whitewater.
