The high level of rainfall makes Lawton Lake a pretty wet spot; during March this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Looking for something close to Lawton Lake? Table Rock Reservoir is around here, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Black Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Rodeway Inn Brevard is a perfect choice;       Raven Cliff is an out of the ordinary place to explore while at Lawton Lake. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Lawton Lake. A tour to Lawton Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Raven Cliff Falls; Solitude Pointe is a tremendous local campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. While you're here at Lawton Lake you can take a hike along the Art Loeb Trail. Drift down the rapids of Matthews                  Creek in a kayak, and a fine nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brevard, Nc. Why not camp at Palmetto Cove if you're here at Lawton Lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit South Saluda River. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lawton Lake you can make out Battered Rock Mountain; you're probably hooked on lakes, Table Rock Cove is one of those close by. Galloway Branch is next to Lawton Lake and is always a diversion to explore, and lots of people from Brevard come here. While staying at Lawton Lake you could always explore Dowthit Cove, and do take a hike on the Mullinax Trail. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Lawton Lake get into the 80's, and the night is rather chillier of course, commonly in the 50's.
