Get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Savannah River, and after a long day outdoors Augusta Budget Inn is a good location to spend a night or two. Going for a hike on the Turkey Creek Hiking Trail is always a brilliant adventure. All through the long summer days highs here at Laurel Lake get into the 90's. Once the       sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Laurel Lake descend into the 30's. If you came for an overnight stay Betty's RV and Trailer Court is a glorious place to camp, and Laurel Lake is not far at all from Augusta-Richmond County. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do near Laurel Lake. Flynn's Inn Camping Village is a great campground                  nearby; do take a look at Mathis Lake, it's a stunning lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Midland Valley Golf Club is in the vicinity; a stunning lake like Swints Lake is a splendid spot to visit.
