Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Savannah River. Through the days of summer here at Langley Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 90's, and the night is a bit colder of course, mostly in the 60's. The cold days of the winter

Savannah River
17 miles away
There are two open spillway dams between the Hwy 28 (Fury's Ferry) Bridge and I-20: Stevens Creek Dam (at the confluence of Stevens Creek) and the Augusta Canal Diversion Dam (about a mile downstream of Stevens Creek Dam). There are no marked access points immediately on either side of either dam. Georgia Power Co. operates an electric generating facility on the Georgia (south) bank at Stevens Creek. At the Canal, since the canal immediately parallels the river some twenty feet above it, there is no river access whatsoever on the Georgia side. Portage would be recommended along private land on the South Carolina side of both dams....
