Here at Lake Whelchel there are plenty of people from Gaffney, and after a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Gaffney is a fine site to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Lake Whelchel usually gets a good deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls through March while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Camping is available at Woodland Park Campground, and camping       at Pinecone Campground is always a wonderful experience. All through the summertime months at Lake Whelchel highs are ordinarily in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Whelchel drop into the 20's. Lakes are such calm locations, why not pop by Lake Whelchel in the neighborhood of Lake Whelchel, and a tremendous close                  by hotel is Holiday Inn Express GAFFNEY OUTLET MALL I-85. This lake is so wonderful.
