I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Lake Whelchel. Allison Creek flows through this neighborhood, and you'll most likely meet some people from Gaffney here. Lake Whelchel gets lots of water; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here; April on the other hand is the driest. Why not camp at Pinecone Campground while you're here at Lake Whelchel; dry warm beds await       you at Super 8 Gaffney. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lake Whelchel. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Whelchel. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Broad River, and Holiday Inn Express GAFFNEY OUTLET MALL I-85 is a wonderful place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
