Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard Charleston Mt. Pleasant, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Charleston-North Charleston here. Summer at Lake Wackedaw comes with high temperatures in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 70's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Lake Wackedaw dip into the 30's.       This lake is so wonderful. Near Lake Wackedaw you discover the Turkey Walk Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail; camping is available at No 1 Camps. If you need a site to stay Shem Creek is a good choice, and if you came for an overnight stay KOA Kampgrounds is a fine site to camp. Lake Wackedaw generally gets a large amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and November is when it's the driest. Going                  for a hike on the Swamp Fox Trail is always a fine adventure. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Fort Moultrie National Monument is a great local destination here at Lake Wackedaw, and if you've had enough of Lake Wackedaw, Lake Woodlawn is nearby.
