But wait, there's more to do near Lake Leroy. A fine spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Lake Leroy is Chattooga River. You'll meet a lot of folks from Seneca here, and if you get bored of Lake Leroy you could also pop by nearby Mountain Rest Lake. During the warmest time of the year here at Lake Leroy, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down       to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for Lake Leroy tend to be in the 20's. A spree to Callas Gap is always fun; The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a magnificent place to get some rest. This place, Lake Leroy, it just has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Little Stakey Mountain is a peak you can spot from Lake Leroy; you can go for a hike on the Burrells Ford Trail. Camping is available at Cherry                  Hill, and get your pulse rate up on the pleasant whitewater of Chauga River. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Winding Stairs Trail; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sky Valley while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Mountain Rest Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and lovely scenery and good skiing is what you obtain at Scaly Mountain. Lake Leroy is a relatively wet place typically with a great deal of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is April. A quick visit to East Village Creek in the neighborhood of Lake Leroy is a tremendous idea, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Leroy; Chattooga Trail is a magnificent local trail.
