Lake Keowee is right by the Foothills Trail; Lake Keowee is a magnificent site to camp, Devils Fork State Park is a magnificent site. You absolutely have to go for Lake Keowee. Sleep Inn Clemson is a great place to get some rest, and Lake Keowee is a place with many visitors from Seneca. Summertime highs at Lake Keowee generally tend to be in the 70's, and the night       is a bit colder of course, usually in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and night lows during the wintertime for Lake Keowee tend to be in the 20's. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Winding Stairs Trail; camping at Lake Keowee is good fun, Keowee-Toxaway state Natural Area is a good local campground.
