If you are in this part of South Carolina make sure to pay a visit to Lake Katherine. This lake is so wonderful. During your visit to Lake Katherine you'll meet some folks from Columbia for sure; Congaree Swamp National Monument is a delightful local destination. The high level of rain makes Lake Katherine a rather wet site; March is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is November. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Lake

Katherine. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Columbia/Ft. Jackson Area is a good choice. Lakes? Sure, Old Heises Pond is close at hand.
This lake is so wonderful. Saluda River is a delightful whitewater spot right next
door to Lake Katherine. Northwoods Golf Club is a golf course near Lake Katherine; Lake Katherine Dam is a stunning place. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Columbia is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and you can run the rapids of Broad River.
