At Lake Johnson you always meet someone from Spartanburg. This lake is so wonderful. Do pop by Lake Edwin Johnson close to Lake Johnson, it's a gorgeous lake; Croft state Natural Area is a pleasant campground nearby. Lake Johnson is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rain; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and April meanwhile is the driest month. If you come at the right time of       year, Lawsons Fork Creek offers some perfect whitewater, and you can stay the night at Pine Ridge Campground. Croft Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to; dry warm beds await you at Spartanburg-Days Inn Downtown. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area in close proximity to Lake Johnson has to offer. The Creek Golf Club is a good golf course nearby, and after a long day outdoors Marriott Spartanburg Renaissance Park is a brilliant                  location to spend a night or two. Some of the water nearby flows, like Dugan Creek, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Pacolet. Throughout the summer at Lake Johnson temperatures are generally in the 80's with night lows in the 60's.
