Summertime at Lake Cynthia arrives with high temperatures in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Lake Cynthia temperatures plunge to the 30's. After a long day outdoors Carolina Lodge at Barnwell is a tremendous site to spend a night or two, and there are other places here       than Lake Cynthia, for example Guess Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Cynthia is great enough to spend more than a day at, Rivers Bridge state Historic Site is a great local campground, and on a perfect day you can explore Booker Pond, a swamp in the vicinity of Lake Cynthia. Dry warm beds await you at Barnwell Days Inn, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not explore Buckmire Pond. Lake Cynthia usually gets a great deal of rain; most of the rain                  falls all through July while November is regularly the driest month.
