Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend South Tyger River, and Village Golf Club is a magnificent golf course nearby. Summertime highs at Lake Cooley usually tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is rather chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's, and night lows in the 20's for Lake       Cooley. There are some great whitewater spots on Middle Tyger River; camping at Lake Cooley is brilliant fun, Cunningham RV Park is a brilliant local campground. Lake Cooley sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through March; April is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Days Inn is a good choice, and this is a popular spot for folks from Spartanburg. Creekside RV Park is a great campground                  here, and naturally, this is a glorious region for people who like lakes, J M Gentry Pond is a lake in the vicinity. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot.
