This lake is so wonderful. Do take a look at Country Club Lake near Lake Carlton, it's a beautiful lake, and you can stay the night at Devils Fork State Park. High temperatures at Lake Carlton all through the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows at Lake Carlton throughout the wintertime       ordinarily drop into the 20's. The smiling folks of Brevard like to hang out nearby, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Eastatoe Creek - Lower Gorge. If you come at the right time of year, Little Eastatoe River offers some good whitewater, and Red Lion Bed & Breakfast is a glorious spot to get some rest. Dry warm beds await you at Park Ave Guest House, and there are glorious places to explore along the Winding Stairs Trail. This lake is so wonderful.                  This spot is peerless, just look at all the cool things to do near Lake Carlton. At Lake Carlton you can catch a glimpse of Buzzard Roost Mountain, and going for a hike on the Foothills Trail is always a wonderful adventure. A quick visit to East Fork Crow Creek close to Lake Carlton is a great idea, and Lake Carlton is a fine place to camp, Keowee-Toxaway state Natural Area is a fine place.
