Lake Carlton is a nice lake to visit. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great planet it would be. At Lake Carlton you can observe Buzzard Roost Mountain, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Foothills Trail. A pleasant nearby hotel is Ramada Inn Clemson, and if you need a place to stay Sleep Inn Clemson is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Through the warm days of summer at Lake Carlton temperatures are regularly in the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lake Carlton. Crow Creek is a stream you can pop by while you're here. Camping is available at Devils Fork State Park, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Eastatoe Creek - Lower Gorge.
This lake is so wonderful. Lake Carlton is a pretty
wet place typically with a large amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is April. Do pop by Country Club Lake in the vicinity of Lake
Carlton, it's a scenic lake, and going for a hike along the Winding Stairs Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
