Lake Caldwell is always a pleasure to visit. Calahan Mountain can be observed from Lake Caldwell, and there's always Ridgill Lake Dam to explore in the vicinity of Lake Caldwell. Do stop at Hosea Lake right next door to Lake Caldwell, it's a beautiful lake; Little Falls Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit. most rain around here; the driest month of the year is April. A great place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Lake Caldwell is Green River, and after a long day outdoors The Waverly Inn is a good site to spend a night
or two.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Dogwood Travel Trailer Park if you're here at Lake Caldwell, and get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of North Saluda River. The Valley Park Resort is a good local campground, and you'll find a stunning lake called Lake Chinquapin. This lake is so wonderful.
