At Lake Bowen you always meet someone from Spartanburg, and playing golf is lots of fun at Woodfin Ridge Golf Club. Lake Bowen sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls during March while April is generally the driest month. Island Creek is a good whitewater spot near Lake Bowen. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Lake Bowen is excellent! A great site for whitewater       paddling in the vicinity of Lake Bowen is Middle Tyger River, and Spartanburg Days Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
