Through the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Lake Bowen. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 50's, and night lows in the 20's for Lake Bowen. There are other sites here than Lake Bowen, for example Lake William C Bowen, and if you're dropping by from Spartanburg, you won't be the only one. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable       stuff to do here at Lake Bowen. Dry warm beds await you at Spartanburg Days Inn, and if you came for an overnight stay Foothills Family Campground is a wonderful location to camp. If you come at the right time of year, Middle Tyger River offers some splendid whitewater, and it's a great idea to stop at Mud Creek. Lake Bowen sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; April meanwhile is the driest month.                  This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Cunningham RV Park; near Lake Bowen you find a golf course called Woodfin Ridge Golf Club.
