Go to Lake Bowen if you want to go to a nice lake. If you need a location to stay Spartanburg Days Inn is a great choice; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Island Creek. At Lake Bowen through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. | | the winter temperatures at Lake Bowen descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not go to Rainbow Lake in close proximity to Lake Bowen, and camping at Cunningham RV Park is always a good experience.
There are other places here than Lake Bowen, for example Lake William C Bowen. There's some flowing water close by, Mud Creek is a stream you can check out while you're here; if you're here you will meet lots of folks | |

from nearby Spartanburg. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Lake Bowen. There are some fine whitewater spots on Middle Tyger River; a brilliant place to camp here at Lake Bowen is Foothills Family Campground.
Lake Bowen typically gets a great deal of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while April is regularly the driest month. A nice nearby hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites, and while you're here and you like golf, you can stop at Woodfin Ridge Golf Club.
