And drive with caution because of the debris coming out of the river, we've chipped 2 props and replaced a foot once, so just drive with caution....Please let me know the safety of the water at Boyds....Boyd's Mill Pond is a small beautiful pond. The lake is owned by NorthBrook Electric out of Chicago. Most of the boats on the lake belong to the lake residents because there is not public landings. Many residents enjoy water sports such as sking and riding in towables, cruising the lake and fishing. There are not boat restrictions. According to many publications, Boyd's Mill is a great lake to catch large mouth bass and catfish. The majority of the lake is not developed however there has been recent construction of many large homes. Many of the residents decorate their docks during the Christmas season.
