A lake nearby is Millwood Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything John Smiths Pond has to offer, you can camp at Wheat water Lake Campground. John Smiths Pond regularly gets a large amount of rain; during July this area sees the       most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hillcrest Golf Course is a magnificent golf course nearby; people from Orangeburg love to come here. Yeah, come here to John Smiths Pond for a splendid time. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites Downtown is a great place to spend a night or two, and a tour to Congaree Swamp National Monument is worthwhile.
