This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Columbia is a tremendous choice. A round of golf at nearby Northwoods Golf Club is a pleasant way to kill some time. location for that. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Columbia/Ft. Jackson Area, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Broad River.
Jim Hammond Pond is fine enough to spend more than
a day at, Capital City Campground is a fine local campground, and why not stop at Forest Lake Dam since you're here. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Jim Hammond Pond. All our national parks are great
locations to check out, and Congaree Swamp National Monument is no exception; Old Heises Pond is a wonderful lake close by. A lot of rain falls at Jim Hammond Pond; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is November.
