Take a little visit to Black Creek while you're here at Jessamine Pond, and if you want to hit the beach, Magnolia Beach is in close proximity. Jessamine Pond is a relatively wet place regularly with a large amount of rain; July is when you get the most rain here while November is commonly the driest month. Silver Island is close at hand and always nice to pop by, and you'll hit upon a lovely lake called       Flagg Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
