You could also stop at Pacolet Reservoir since you're here at J W Crocker Pond; it's close by. If only every spot had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great globe it would be. During your journey to J W Crocker Pond you'll meet some folks from Union for sure, and if you want to play some golf, you're       in luck because Oak Ridge Country Club is in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at J W Crocker Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Croft state Natural Area is a tremendous place for that, and Pacolet has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. J W Crocker Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; all through March this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is April. The                  warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to J W Crocker Pond. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at J W Crocker Pond temperatures plunge to the 20's.
