This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Middle Tyger River. You're sure to bump into some wonderful people from Spartanburg here, and you'll stumble on a charming lake called Lake Cooley. J M Gentry Pond mostly gets a good deal of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For       the period of the summer months highs here at J M Gentry Pond reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to J M Gentry Pond. A brilliant spot for whitewater paddling right next door to J M Gentry Pond is South Tyger River; Cunningham RV Park is a glorious campground nearby.
