    The beauty of Lake Isaquenna is reason enough to stop by. Get drenched paddling on Flat Shoal River; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Foothills Trail. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Lake Isaquenna. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's with temperatures at Lake Isaquenna dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A day  
   on the slopes of Scaly Mountain is just what you need.
While you're here at Lake Isaquenna you can take a hike along the Winding Stairs Trail, and Sapphire Valley Resort is a perfect place to get some rest. Lake Isaquenna beyond doubt is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. After a long day outdoors Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and if you've had enough of Lake Isaquenna, Lake Cherokee is nearby. This
 
               lake is so wonderful. Visit Cantrell Creek since you're here at Lake Isaquenna. There's so much to do here at Lake Isaquenna that you need to camp here for a while, Moody Spring Campground is a great place for that.
Lake Isaquenna is a place with many visitors from Seneca, and you can stay the night at Oconee Station state Historic Site. You're possibly interested in lakes, Lake Cheohee is one of those close by, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Oconee Creek. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Isaquenna a reasonably wet place; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and April is the month with the least moisture.
