Hunts Lake is a nice lake to visit. The high level of precipitation makes Hunts Lake a pretty wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while January is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Man, is there heaps of fun things to do near Hunts Lake. After a long day outdoors Easley-Days Inn West Of Greenville/Clemson Area is a splendid spot to spend a night or two; camping is available at Holly Hill RV Park.

| | Looking for some flowing water? Try Armstrong Creek, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Jameson Inn Easley. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Hunts Lake without first paying a visit to McElhenny Shoal; if you came for an overnight stay The Valley Park Resort is a wonderful spot to camp. For the period of the summertime months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Hunts Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime highs are | |

mostly in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Hunts Lake fall into the 20's. Hunts Lake is not the only place nearby, Belue Lake is a nearby lake, and there are plenty of people from
Greenville here. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Rolling Green Golf Club, and get drenched paddling on North Saluda River. Drift down the rapids of Saluda River in a kayak, unsurprisingly you could also explore Rich Pond while you're here; it's not far at all.

Saluda River
 | 3/31/2007 This was a nice trip. Put in behind Riverside Tavern on Hwy124, went to Hwy86 in Piedmont. Only scratched the boats a couple times in the few small rapid areas. You will have to paddle about the last 4 or 5 miles due to the back water from the Piedmont dam. Trip took 5.5 hours at this time of the year with good flow in the river. I expected it to take much longer and paddled a bit every now and then. Some fallen trees but no problem going right thru them. Will defiantly go again for a relaxing day on the river. ... |

The Flowermill RV Park
 | 13 miles away we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time. ...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |

Lake Bonclarken
 | 19 miles away I hope whoever reads this Email knows Susan White Jones (Mrs. Reuben) She used to live in Spartanburg, SC and was a member of our ''Teena'' Club. We are now in our 70s. One of our members, Fran Bailey Kendrick has cancer and is very ill. She was allowed to go to her home yesterday with Hospice visiting her. If you could get this word to Susan, I know Fran would like to speak to her and her phone number is 864-582-8258. I tried to call Susan at home and finally remembered that she goes to Bonclarken every summer. My name is Jeanne Foster Clark jeannefclark@charter. Net
Please let me know if you can help me, Susan and Fran. Thank you so very much ... |
