In South Carolina there are many beautiful lakes, Huntington Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Huntington Lake, you could also visit nearby Oak Grove Lake; the top of Roper Mountain is easily made out from Huntington Lake. A magnificent location to camp here at Huntington Lake is The Flowermill RV Park. At Huntington Lake through the warm months highs are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the duration of the
winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Huntington Lake.
If you need a place to stay Drury Inn and Suites Greenville is a good choice, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Enoree River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. After a long day outdoors La Quinta Greenville is a nice place to spend a night or two; whitewater paddling is good on Reedy

River. Here at Huntington Lake you'll most likely meet some people from Greenville, and camping at Rainbow RV Park is always a good experience.
Huntington Lake is a pretty wet place regularly with a large amount of rain; most of the rain falls throughout March; September is the month with the least moisture. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Cross Winds Golf Course is in the neighborhood, and McCalls Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by.

The Flowermill RV Park
we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.

Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight...

Lake Cunningham
How is the fishing on Lake Cunningham?...Lake Cunningham is 360+ acres and is the take-out point for Greer's water supply. Boating is allowed but no more than 5HP motors. Swimming is discouraged. It's a very pretty lake with a wildfowl sancuary at its western edge....

This was a nice trip. Put in behind Riverside Tavern on Hwy124, went to Hwy86 in Piedmont. Only scratched the boats a couple times in the few small rapid areas. You will have to paddle about the last 4 or 5 miles due to the back water from the Piedmont dam. Trip took 5.5 hours at this time of the year with good flow in the river. I expected it to take much longer and paddled a bit every now and then. Some fallen trees but no problem going right thru them. Will defiantly go again for a relaxing day on the river. ...
