Glide down the rapids of Broad River in a kayak, and a brilliant place to camp here at Hughes Pond is Bethel Campground.       Hughes Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is November. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Columbia I-20 @ Clemson Road, and why not camp at Capital City Campground since you're here at Hughes Pond. The warmest time of the year at Hughes Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer overnight lows fall                  down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Hughes Pond drop into the 20's.
