Sleep Inn North Augusta is a wonderful place to get some rest, and if you're here, you could also stop at pretty Bakers Lake. Howards Pond gets a large amount of water; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is November. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Augusta-Richmond County here, and dry warm beds await you at Lookaway       and Rosemary Halls. What a place this is for outdoors people. If the weather is fine here at Howards Pond, you can go for a hike along the Horn Creek Hiking Trail, and there's some flowing water close by, Franklin Branch is a stream you can check out while you're here. Summertime highs at Howards Pond generally tend to be in the 90's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 50's; winter nights                  come with lows in the 30's to Howards Pond. If you came to camp Flynn's Inn Camping Village is a wonderful location to do that; while you're here and you like golf, you can explore Midland Valley Golf Club. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Savannah River.
