All through the months of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Hartwell Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hartwell Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Best Western       Lake Hartwell Inn & Suites; Hart State Park is a great campground nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Hartwell Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls throughout March, and September meanwhile is the driest month. Very pleasant water scenery is available at Hartwell Dam close to Hartwell Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Shoal Creek. After a long day outdoors Jameson Inn Hartwell is a glorious                  place to spend a night or two. For you golfers we recommend nearby Stone Creek Cove Golf Club, and you can stay the night at Sadlers Creek State Recreation Area. This place, Hartwell Lake, it completely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. This is a brilliant area for people who like lakes.
