For the period of the long summer days at Harper Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Harper Pond dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. The Chattooga Trail is a glorious hiking trail in close proximity to Harper Pond, and       you're sure to come across some great folks from Toccoa here. Harper Pond usually gets a great deal of rain; March is when you get the most rain here; October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Harper Pond. So many amusing things right next door to Harper Pond, completely incredible. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Toccoa; a nice place to camp here                  at Harper Pond is Cassidy Bridge Campground. After a long day outdoors Toccoa Days Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two; obviously Little Toxaway Creek is a pretty stream that is worth checking out. Lakes? Sure, Smith Pond is in close proximity; there's whitewater on Chauga River for all you adrenaline people. Going for a hike on the Burrells Ford Trail is always a great adventure, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Scaly Mountain.
