The high level of rain makes Haithcock Pond a reasonably wet spot; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Fort Jackson Guest House is a good location to get some rest, and there are plenty of folks from Columbia here at Haithcock Pond. Summer brings highs in the 80's to       Haithcock Pond. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Haithcock Pond fall into the 30's. Camping is available at Columbia/camden RV Park, and if you're a golfer then a fine close by course is Sedgewood Country Club. Camping at Bethel Campground is always a delightful experience, and the vistas                  at Congaree Swamp National Monument will blow your mind.
