Go to Griffin Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. If you need a location to stay Candlewood Suites COLUMBIA-FT. JACKSON is a brilliant choice. Griffin Lake gets a great deal of water; most of the rain falls through March, and the driest month is November. This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Congaree Swamp National Monument is recommended; camping is available at Sesquicentennial State Park.

60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's; nighttime lows at Griffin Lake through the winter regularly sink into the 20's.
Here at Griffin Lake there are plenty of people from Columbia; a great place for whitewater
paddling is Broad River. If you came for an overnight stay Capital City Campground is a tremendous site to camp; a lake nearby is Captain Jims Pond.
