All through the long summer days here at Greenslades Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Greenslades Pond. A fine close by hotel is Newberry-Days Inn, and Tyger River is a great whitewater spot nearby. Quality Inn Newberry       is a perfect place to get some rest, and in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Broad River. The nice folks of Newberry like to hang out close by; Greenslades Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Kinards Koa Kampground is a great local campground. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Greenslades Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Greenslades                  Pond a wet place; the wettest month of the year is generally March, that's the one that rains the most while November is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Greenslades Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Saluda River Resort is a great site for that, and it's a great idea to take a look at Rocky Branch.   Newberry-Days Inn, Newberry 2 miles away Conveniently located off Interstate Highway 26 at exit 74.
