What a nice lake Gordons Lake is. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Sky Valley around here, and going for a hike along the Ellicott Rock Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Gordons Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and April is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The wonderful folks of Seneca like to hang out nearby, and camping at Yellow

Scaly Mountain has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff, and Kelsey & Hutcinson Ldg is a delightful spot to get some rest. If you came to camp Oconee Station state Historic Site is a wonderful place to do that, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chattooga River. out Big Stakey Mountain from Gordons Lake.
Chauga River is a great whitewater spot next to Gordons Lake. Some close by water includes Big Stakey Creek, naturally you could also check out Chattooga Lake if you're here; it's not
far at all. At Gordons Lake through the summertime highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Gordons
Lake temperatures drop to the 20's.
And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Gordons Lake. Hiking along the Burrells Ford Trail is splendid fun, and a glorious close by hotel is Walhalla Motel.
