Many people like to go to Gordons Lake. You're possibly addicted to lakes, Mountain Rest Lake is one of those nearby; what would winter be without some skiing at Scaly Mountain. Big Stakey Mountain is delightful and can be seen from Gordons Lake; hiking along the Winding Stairs Trail is great fun. Camp Chatuga is a pleasant campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Old Edwards Inn and Spa.

Summer brings highs in the 70's to Gordons Lake while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Gordons Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sky Valley if you're here, and you can
have a good hiking adventure along the Ellicott Rock Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Gordons Lake is not far at all from Seneca, and if you need a location to stay The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a brilliant choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something in the vicinity of Gordons Lake? Oconee State Park Lake Number One is nearby, and a fine spot for whitewater paddling is Chauga River. Gordons Lake is a great site to visit for more
than one day, Cherry Hill is a great site to camp nearby, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chattooga River.
