During the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Gillespie Pond. Summer night lows drop down       to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Gillespie Pond. Gillespie Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Elliott's Landing and Campground is a nice local campground, and Gillespie Pond is not far at all from Sumter. Gillespie Pond is a pretty wet place regularly with a good deal of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains                  the most while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Travelers Inn And Suites, and Beech Creek Country Club is a magnificent golf course close by.
