Lake Cunningham
14 miles away
How is the fishing on Lake Cunningham?...Lake Cunningham is 360+ acres and is the take-out point for Greer's water supply. Boating is allowed but no more than 5HP motors. Swimming is discouraged. It's a very pretty lake with a wildfowl sancuary at its western edge....

North Tyger River
14 miles away
...iver left under bridge right after Nesbitt Shoals, just after confluence of North and South Tyger (you know it's close after a large S-turn in the river) Take out either river left, or right AFTER the bridge-lots of 'No Trespassing' signs before the bridge. Shuttle is about 6 hilly miles. Mostly quiet, with some scrapes below 1' on gauge.
There are some fun little rapids: First one take dead center. Third one with a nice slot river-left of center rock formation but you need some water. You can also go river right with a hard slide/small hydraulic back towards the center-then drag back up and run it again. There is a nice tiny play spot river-left about 2/3 into the run. My favorite is a series of small drops about 3/4 into the trip: fun run of about 50 yds-at low water, need to make some turns, watch your angles-small island bisects river-take just left-of-center line and pick your way down on the left. Sneaky little rapid river-left just before bridge can catch you if you are not watching-pick your way river-left after most of Nesbitt Shoals are completed and take the rapid to ...

The Flowermill RV Park

we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.

Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight...

Boyd Millpond
17 miles away
We fish the lake and duck hunt the mouth of the river, and it is very shallow in the upper end of the lake. And drive with caution because of the debris coming out of the river, we've chipped 2 props and replaced a foot once, so just drive with caution....Please let me know the safety of the water at Boyds....Boyd's Mill Pond is a small beautiful pond. The lake is owned by NorthBrook Electric out of Chicago. Most of the boats on the lake belong to the lake residents because there is not public landings. Many residents enjoy water sports such as sking and riding in towables, cruising the lake and fishing. There are not boat restrictions. According to many publications, Boyd's Mill is a great lake to catch large mouth bass and catfish. The majority of the lake is not developed however there has been recent construction of many large homes. Many of the residents decorate their docks during the Christmas season. Overall, the lake is beautiful and very relaxing. Also, many people enjoy walking and fishing at the shoals at the bottom of the damn....
