Near Georgie Pond you come across the Swamp Fox Trail which is a good hiking trail; The Golf Club Wescott Plantation is a good golf course nearby. Goose Creek Days Inn is a wonderful place to get some rest, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Jerico Horse Trail. Georgie Pond mostly gets much rain; the month with most of the rain is July, and November is when it's the driest. This lake is so       wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Economy Inn and Suites Charleston, and a visit to Fort Moultrie National Monument is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Yellow House Creek is an out of the ordinary swamp right next door to Georgie Pond. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Georgie Pond, high temperatures regularly get into the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The winter brings highs                  down to the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Georgie Pond. Snow Point is not far from Georgie Pond at all; Back River is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. Georgie Pond is a tremendous place to camp, Charles Towne Landing state Historic Site is a tremendous place, and Georgie Pond is a place with many visitors from Charleston-North Charleston. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Georgie Pond. Camping at Georgie Pond is good fun, Fain's RV Park is a good local campground, and most likely you're looking for nearby lakes?
