There are some splendid whitewater spots on Saluda River; Lexington Mill Pond Dam is an exciting thing to check out. A great location to camp here at Georges Pond is Barnyard RV Park, and people from Columbia love to come here. After a long day outdoors Comfort Suites Lexington is a perfect location to spend a night or two; if you're here you can play some golf at       Indian River Golf Club. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Georges Pond has it all. Camping is available at Edmund RV Park, and a lake nearby is Barr Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Broad River for all you thrill seekers, and if you get bored of Georges Pond you could also stop by nearby Gibsons Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Georges Pond a wet place; most of the rain falls during March, and                  November is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Georges Pond regularly tend to be in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are typically in the 50's while Georges Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's.
