There are plenty of people from Augusta-Richmond County here at Gem Lake, and a round of golf at nearby Aiken Golf Club is a tremendous way to kill some time. Gem Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is January while November is the month       with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Gem Lake during the summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 50's, and night lows at Gem Lake all through                  the winter frequently sink into the 30's.
