A lake close by is Forest Lake; why not camp at Capital City Campground while you're here at Forest Lake. All the outdoors entertaining stuff right next door to Forest Lake will keep you coming back many times. Forest Lake Dam is a place that is near Forest Lake, and do take a look at       Eightmile Branch while you're here at Forest Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Columbia is a good site to spend a night or two, and a pleasant spot to camp here at Forest Lake is Sesquicentennial State Park. A good deal of rainfall falls at Forest Lake; through the month of March you get the most rain around here while November is usually the driest month. You could also visit Spring Lake since you're here at Forest Lake;                  it's close by; a journey to Congaree Swamp National Monument is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Northwoods Golf Club, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Saluda River. Summer at Forest Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are usually in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Forest Lake are in the 20's.
