If you like lakes and you're in this part of South Carolina you can check out Forest Lake. Forest Lake gets a lot of water; March is the wettest month with most rain, and November is when it's the driest. On a lovely day you obtain a view of Quinine Hill from Forest Lake, and if you need a place to stay Columbia-Days Inn Columbia Mall is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Columbia/Ft. Jackson Area, and some nearby water includes Eightmile Branch. During the summer months highs here at Forest Lake get into the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. the 20's. There's so much to do here at Forest Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Capital City Campground is a splendid location for that, and paddling on Broad River is so much fun.
This lake is so wonderful. Glide
down the rapids of Saluda River in a kayak. Stay the night at Sesquicentennial State Park, and if you haven’t been to Congaree Swamp National Monument, you should schedule some time for it since you're here. This is no site for people
who don’t like to have fun. You'll come across a striking lake called Boyden Arbor Lake near Forest Lake, and playing golf is lots of fun at Northwoods Golf Club.
