The beauty of Eptings Pond is reason enough to stop by. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Tyger River, and if you need a spot to stay Newberry-Days Inn is a brilliant choice. Summertime highs at Eptings Pond frequently tend to be in the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are ordinarily in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Eptings Pond are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.

| | If you come at the right time of year, Broad River offers some good whitewater; camping at Eptings Pond is nice fun, Dreher Island State Recreation Area is a nice local campground. You'll meet a lot of people from Newberry here, and Eptings Pond is a tremendous spot to camp, Putnam's Landing is a tremendous spot. Quality Inn Newberry is a wonderful place to get some rest. Eptings Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; March is when you get the most rain here; November on the other hand is the driest.
