Entrance Lake Dam is gorgeous and it's close to Entrance Lake, and a pleasant close by hotel is Wingate by Wyndham Columbia / Ft. Jackson. Man, is there a heap of amusing things to do close to Entrance Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Bethel Campground is a great spot to camp, and if you've had enough of Entrance Lake, Spring       Valley Lake is close by. Saluda River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and don't miss out on a spree to Congaree Swamp National Monument since you're here. Entrance Lake generally gets a good deal of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here; November is when it's the driest. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Broad River, and camping is available at Capital City Campground.                  This lake is so wonderful. A quick tour to Sorghum Branch in the vicinity of Entrance Lake is a brilliant idea; Quality Inn Fort Jackson is a wonderful place to get some rest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Entrance Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Entrance Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
