What a nice lake Ehlers Pond is. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Ehlers Pond. There are fine places to explore along the Mullinax Trail, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Saluda River. Ehlers Pond is a wet location that gets a large amount of rainfall; through March this area sees the most rain, and April is when it's the driest. Don't leave Ehlers Pond without first going for a hike along the Black Mountain Trail.
