Whitewater paddling is good on Savannah River, and you're probably interested in lakes, Simons Lake is one of those close by. For the duration of the months of summer, highs generally are in the 90's at Eggleston Lake while nighttime lows are generally in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Eggleston Lake are in the 30's. Going for a hike on the Horn Creek Hiking Trail       is always a pleasant adventure, and Sleep Inn North Augusta is a splendid location to get some rest.
