    Many people like to go to Ebbs Lake. Ebbs Lake is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Redcliffe Plantation state Historic Site is a splendid place to camp nearby, and a beautiful lake like Island Lake is a delightful place to have a look at. After a long day outdoors Augusta Budget Inn is a perfect spot to spend a night or two; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Savannah River. You absolutely have to fancy Ebbs Lake. Nail Spring is an  
   inspiring site to stop at while here, and there are plenty of people from Augusta-Richmond County here at Ebbs Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a delightful lake called Clarkes Lake near Ebbs Lake, and there's some flowing water nearby, Musterfield Branch is a stream you can take a look at during your stay. Ebbs Lake is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls during March, and November is when it's the driest. Summertime
 
               at Ebbs Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are usually in the 50's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Ebbs Lake tend to be in the 30's.

There are two open spillway dams between the Hwy 28 (Fury's Ferry) Bridge and I-20: Stevens Creek Dam (at the confluence of Stevens Creek) and the Augusta Canal Diversion Dam (about a mile downstream of Stevens Creek Dam). There are no marked access points immediately on either side of either dam. Georgia Power Co. operates an electric generating facility on the Georgia (south) bank at Stevens Creek. At the Canal, since the canal immediately parallels the river some twenty feet above it, there is no river access whatsoever on the Georgia side. Portage would be recommended along private land on the South Carolina side of both dams....
