Why not stop by Earls Lake if you're passing through these parts. Springwood RV Park is a pleasant campground nearby, and Homewood Suites by Hilton Greenville is a pleasant site to get some rest. Earls Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is September.

| | some brilliant whitewater, and Scuffle Town Usa RV Park is a delightful local campground. All through the days of summer here at Earls Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Earls Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm spots, why not stop by McCalls Lake right next door to Earls Lake; folks from Greenville love to come here. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Reedy River; a pleasant nearby hotel is Staybridge Suites GREENVILLE/SPARTANBURG.

The Flowermill RV Park
 | we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.
...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |

This was a nice trip. Put in behind Riverside Tavern on Hwy124, went to Hwy86 in Piedmont. Only scratched the boats a couple times in the few small rapid areas. You will have to paddle about the last 4 or 5 miles due to the back water from the Piedmont dam. Trip took 5.5 hours at this time of the year with good flow in the river. I expected it to take much longer and paddled a bit every now and then. Some fallen trees but no problem going right thru them. Will defiantly go again for a relaxing day on the river. ... |
