There are swamps here too; Kohlers Old River is in the vicinity, and Elliott's Landing and Campground is a perfect campground nearby. For the duration of the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Drafts Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are       in the 50's with temperatures at Drafts Pond dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Drafts Pond, too wonderful to be true. Lakes are such serene spots, why not visit Deep Hole close to Drafts Pond, and a trip to Congaree Swamp National Monument is recommended. Drafts Pond regularly gets a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest of the months is November. There are other locations                  here than Drafts Pond, for example Brushtop Lake; hey, Beech Creek is a wonderful local stream. This lake is so wonderful.
