After a long day outdoors Best Western Sumter Inn is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night at Poinsett state Park. Deschamps Big Pond is a magnificent lake near Des Champs Pond, and while you're       here you can play some golf at Sumter National Golf Club. The warmest time of the year at Des Champs Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, frequently in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Des Champs Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Econo Lodge Sumter is a tremendous place to get some rest, and the cheerful folks of Sumter like to hang out nearby.                  The high level of rain makes Des Champs Pond a reasonably wet location; July is the month that gets the most rain, and November meanwhile is the driest month. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Des Champs Pond.
